Index
Of course I start off my journal with the index, so that I can keep track of where things are in the journal, as I will forget and I don’t want to go searching for it later. I’ve also preemptively included the months, as I know I will need to include these anyway. That being said, I’ll be surprised if this notebook lasts me the whole 12 months. I’m worried that I haven’t left myself enough space for the index, but if I overflow I can just use a sticky note, or overflow into the title page which has a lot of blank space.
Page 1: Title Page
I’ve included my theme for 2021, which I’ve chosen as “Rebuild, Learn, Improve.”
Page 2 - 3: My Ideal Life
I’ve included this list in every bullet journal I’ve had. Having it at the front of my notebooks keeps it fresh in my mind.
Page 3: Dream Home
This is a new list for me. I’ve decided to put it in so that I can look towards the long-term future and motivate me to work on goals, particularly financial goals.
Page 4 - 7: Level 10 Life
This is another bullet journal trope. I find the level 10 life analysis useful in the same way as My Ideal Life, to reflect and create goals.
Page 8: Wish List
Items I want.
Page 9: Bucket List
Things I want to experience.
Page 10: Watch List
To keep track of TV and films. I don't watch enough films to justify it having its own page so I've merged them together in a "Watch List".
Page 11: Books
A reading list to keep track of books I read this year. As you can see there are already a few that I've started but haven't finished.
Page 12: Podcasts
I listen to a lot of podcasts so it can be quite difficult to keep track of which episode I'm on in the app. Keeping track of my most recent ones in my bullet journal helps to keep me on track.
Page 13: Future read/watch/listen list
If you have any recommendations for me, particularly science fiction and self-help, let me know!
Page 14: Savings plan
The yellow line shows how much I would like to save in the next five-ish years so that I can work towards financial goals.
Page 15: Morning & Evening Routine
I've put my morning and evening routines in my lists, as I won't put these items on my daily check list but I'll sometimes want to refresh my memory.
Page 16 - 17: Monthly Challenges
As an alternative to New Year's resolutions, I set myself a monthly challenge. Last year, I made it to March before falling off the wagon as that's when the first lockdown hit the UK.
Page 18 - 24: Future Log
Another bullet journal must-have, this is my long term event planning that I migrate to the monthly spread each month.
Page 25: Memories
Since my first bujo, I've had a page to record memories.
Page 26: Year plan
I use this year calendar sticky note from Paperchase to plan my annual, biannual, quarterly and monthly tasks.
Page 27: Birthdays
And to round off my 2021 set-up, I have a birthdays list!
I would love to see your 2021 set-ups if you have them, and tell me what your goals are for this year! If you want me to go into further detail on any of these pages and how I use them, let me know!
Thanks for reading,
Content Bill
