The level 10 life analysis is a common spread for many bullet journals. I find it valuable to assess how content I am with certain areas with my life, what I like and what I want to change so that I can be happy. The core of the exercise is that you rate ten different areas of your life out of 10. I've had questions before on how I know that I feel 6/10 in the physical environment aspect of my life, for example. The answer is, it's not a true science. It's subjective based on any indicators that you want to use. For me, I measure a general level of satisfaction. It's very easy for me to pick out the areas of my life that I'm very unhappy with and the ones that I'm fairly content with. The way I imagine a 10/10 is being content and not being able to think of anything that could make that aspect better. I don't think I'll ever get to that level in any aspect but the goal is there! (And my partner is determined to make my "Love Life" aspect a 10/10!)
This January's life analysis has been very swayed by my unemployment and the lockdown. All of my levels are down from the last time I did a level 10 analysis.
On the left page, I've set up my areas with a bar underneath to signal the level. I've used different colours to code the different areas. The areas I have are physical environment, family & friends, personal development, health & fitness, career, finances, love life, recreation, spirituality and charity. You don't have to use these areas yourself, and you don't need to have ten - you could pick more or less, depending on how you see your life. It's just a tool to use to assess your general satisfaction. I've included the average level as well which I've calculated at 3. I normally would also set a goal but because of covid-19 I don't see myself being able to change many things in my life just yet.
On the right page, I've started writing my answers to two questions about each area: why do I feel that it's at the level and what can I do to lift the level? I've written about them from lowest to highest.
I've put in these pictures of my answers to inspire you in your own answers and the types of things you can write about. Even as I write this blog post, so many things have changed since I wrote this analysis!
